Sometimes we forget to smile because we're too busy looking at our future goals. Let me tell you something, you've worked too hard to be where you are. You've worked through the hard times, the deadlines, the personal issues, the family issues, burning the midnight turmoil when necessary and you still waiting for the future to bring you happiness. Don't hold the past against you, let the future drive you for the greatness it has to offer. Learn from your failures and let them go, praise the achievement but don't get too excited about them, as they will stop you from growing further.
You don't know whether your goals will make you happy once you achieve them, so why not be happy about the things we've already done and then look forward to the heap of things that are working their way towards us.
Smile! Its the greatest asset you have, no one can take that away from you and its a skill you were born with.
Let the journey be exciting and full of surprises, learn from it and let yourself grow through the experience rather than to simply go through it.
Signing off, with the greatest smile,
Gagan
Believe in your gift
Your gift is something you're born with, ever had a person come up to you say why art? why not by an accountant, a banker, a doctor or a nurse?
The reason they say that is because they can't see your dream for you, if was given to you, not them. Self doubt, pity feeling, sorrow and anxiety are all things we allow into our lives when we are not focused on our gift. You know that feeling you get when you've finished a piece and it looks awesome, that feeling is the same feeling athletes get after finishing a race or a hiker gets after climbing a mountain.
Even though I didn't draw for most part of my life, I know I was born with the gift to d
Life is not a race!
We were all born at difference time and grew up with different experiences from one another, exposed to different environment. So why do we compare ourself to others and rush to overtake them or be better than them?
I remember that when I moved to England aged 13 my classmates were light years ahead of me, they could all speak eloquently without hesitating. They knew what the trends were, they could easily mix into the society and they all seemed to be in the same bogie of the train, with me being the alien. I felt as if it would be impossible for me to get to there level, however I was passionate to learn, hungry to grow and eager to overco
Why are we so shy?
We are so shy when it comes to expressing ourself, we miss great opportunities just because we think that we're not worth it.
I was at the CA workshop recently and when it was time to show our portfolio to this art director from MPC London, no one came forward. There were about 20+ people standing around me and when she asked us to see our work, I was the only one who dared to put my work in front of her. Why? There were people asking me to ask questions from her, and were too afraid to make an error.
Which lead to me thinking about something I was reading earlier on this month, about animals. See animals, they don't wear clothes, they don'
Failures are a good milestone for reality check.
All failures will unlock the next level.
Push through the work you've set yourself and even if you fail, it'll open the door to take you to the next level. Almost as if god exist and can see when you're working at your best and need a hand. He'll come at the right moment and show you the right path. If you don't believe in god then people/ close friends will do the same.
Whether public or private, its ok to fail. I've started so many things and promised everyone that i'll do this or that and then not been able to do it. That doesn't mean that I gave up. It just means that I need some more preparation to take it to the next level. A weight l
