The concept and idea issues aside.
I think you could have handled the basics a bit better. Concepts are ultimately always about what they are, designs. But
can you actually convey that design is also part of the job. Right now your values are all over the place. And you aren't showing much
form on objects. The ball of his shoulder doesn't look round, the thing on his skull feels very flat and 2d, as well as what I assume to
be his arm in front of him the arm has no form at all.
So I think before all the finer details and issues like the color being muddy, the texture not really working to convey something in the image,
and the background saying nothing for the design. Do whatever you can to really nail the values in your piece, so people instantly see
whats goin on with the lighting. Really nail the forms that are from simple objects. sphere, cylinder, cone, etc etc.
